Yeah, folks! It’s out!
Dalingrin released the 1st alpha of CyanogenMod 9 this night.
It’s a zero-alpha and that means
“zero hardware-accelerated video”, “zero camera”, and “zero support!”
The following features do not work
- As a result of the non-functional Hardware Video (OMX), Netflix does not work, YouTube works only only in non-HD videos.
- The microphone does not work.
- Camera does not work.
- Market filters prevent some apps from being installed.
- Titanium Backup crashes the kernel.
- Most of the hardware problems from CM7 still exist in this CM9 alpha build.
- Gapps will not work in CM9/ICS.
- Traditional USB storage mounting is not supported in the Touchpad build.
You see, there is much to do for the team around dalingrin, but i know, they will do
I decided to not flash this release. My TP is working fine with CM7a3.
For those of you who want to update their CM7, there’s a good news: you do not have to wipe the device
[...]you can try it even without a wipe of /data. The key is to use ACMEInstaller2 (see link below) rather than the ClockWorkMod Recovery to do the installation.
Ok, let’s have a look at the rootzwiki and see all the details: klick!
